What is "Confections, Coffee, & Commentary?"

"Confections, Coffee, & Commentary" is a partnership of organizations and community members who create opportunities for non-partisan community dialogue on topics of current interest. Our goals are to:

• Organize public forums
  
• Create a neutral space for engaging community members and elected officials in dialogue
  
• Introduce speakers or experts to introduce emerging issues
  
• Welcome and encourage diverse participation where all points of view can be heard

Springfield's Urban Edge (SUE), an up and coming Access 4 Program, is pleased to invite the community to it's new monthly series: "Confections, Coffee, & Commentary" at Cafe Moxo on 411 E. Adams, Friday, February 22, 2008, at 7:15 A.M.

Springfield's Urban Edge is a new concept in public television offering a fresh perspective on today's Springfield, who we are, what we do, where we live, and the issues that are important to us.

Sponsors of this collaborative effort include Cafe Moxo, @ Your Fingertipz Lifestyle Management Co. (@YFTz), Print Heaven, and Brian Petty Design. This event is a unique opportunity of encouraging community members from diverse backgrounds to participate in engaging dialogue, discussion, and deliberation voicing their personal opinions on current issues of interest that directly affect the Springfield community. SUE seeks to educate and inform the young professional consumer interested in a diverse Midwest, its upscale retail, cultural amenities, quality entertainment, its support systems and its associated issues.
